Dr. Monique Nguyen
An experienced optometrist, Dr. Monique Nguyen is passionate about making a difference in other people’s lives. She feels there is no greater joy than helping her patients protect, enhance, and optimize their most important sense – their vision.
As an optometry student at the Southern California College of Optometry, Dr. Nguyen was diagnosed with a vision disorder called convergence insufficiency. She was successfully treated with vision therapy, one of the disciplines within optometry.
Her experiences made her enthusiastic about the possibilities offered by vision therapy. Today, Dr. Nguyen is one few optometrists in Southern California trained and equipped to provide vision therapy services. She takes pride in using vision therapy to help patients of all ages find solutions for their most debilitating vision problems.
After finishing her Doctor of Optometry degree, Dr. Nguyen decided to pursue residency training in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy. She received extensive training in diagnosing and treating visual disorders in patients of all ages. During her residency, Dr. Nguyen gathered additional expertise in sports vision, computer vision syndrome, and vision-related learning disorders.
Following her residency, Dr. Nguyen remained at SCCO to teach the future doctors of optometry. Dr. Nguyen also coordinates and supervises the vision clinic at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Garden Grove. This clinic provides children from under served communities with free or low-cost vision exams and glasses.
Dr. Nguyen is grateful to have had so many opportunities to give back to her community. She takes pride in making a difference in her students’ and patients’ lives. When not teaching new optometry students or serving patients, she can be found spending time with her two children and enjoying life in the Mission Viejo area.
My name is Bree and I am a Patient Care Coordinator, Optometric Assistant, and Vision Therapy Assistant here at A+ Vision Optometry. I graduated from California Baptist University in 2019 with my Bachelor’s in Health Science with a concentration in Physician’s Assistant Studies.
I am new to the optical world but have enjoyed learning about everything related to vision care. Health and wellness are important to me and I love that I get to be around like-minded people here at A+ Vision! I recently moved down to South Orange County to be with family and hope to spend more time at the beach when I am not at work!
Hi there, my name is Kamille. I joined the A+ Vision Optometry team in September 2020 as the patient coordinator, optometrist assistant, and practice champion for Myopia Control. My main goal here is to make patients feel welcome, and comfortable while getting the highest quality of optical care. Working here has opened my eyes to how easy and enjoyable getting your vision checked can be.
I am an Orange County native but have lived everywhere from up and down the West Coast, to even living outside the country. I recently moved back to California in the summer of 2020, and that is when I found Dr. Nguyen and A+ Vision Optometry team. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending my days off with family and friends, soaking up the Southern California sun.
My name is Devon and I am the optician here at A+ Vision Optometry. I am very passionate about helping our patients find the right products to fit their visual and personal needs. I have been working in optometry for almost 6 years now.
I enjoy learning about new technology to make sure our A+ Vision family are seeing clearly and comfortably. In my free time, I enjoy live music and photography. I love art, music, traveling, and coffee.
